We started as a run crew, and now we’re here. Established in 2013, KARDIA is a Toronto fitness community offering daily flow, indoor cycling, HIIT style strength training, and coached run programs. We are located along the Toronto Waterfront at the bottom of Spadina. Our classes and offerings are fun, challenging and inclusive to all. Our instructors and coaches are educated, non-judgemental, and masters at spreading our community focused KARDIA crew vibe. We know the mental, physical, and social benefits that come from a daily workout and we can't wait to share them with you. You belong here.

From Well To Do:

"[Kardia], which recently opened its first brick-and-mortar location, offers both spin and yoga classes. Located at Spadina and Queens Quay, the ground floor studio boasts large windows with a view of the CN Tower passing streetcars. You don’t get much more Toronto than that.

[Kardia] began in 2013 as a free outdoor workout series including running and yoga. Co-founders Heather and Mark Gardner wanted to give back to the community, and over time they built a strong enough following for their classes at Canoe Landing Park to encourage them to open a permanent location.

Offering both spin and yoga classes at the new studio provides members with the opportunity to diversify their training. Each spin bike has a computer console which allows riders to track their data using a free app. Post class, all of the data from that ride is available for riders to check their performance and set goals for the future. Knowing how hard they’re working in a class helps riders understand if they are reaching their full potential and what they need to do to make gains in their training."

From BlogTO:

" A gender-neutral space, yoga classes use consent cards with the words ‘yes please’ or ‘no thank you’ for hands-on adjustments during class.

The yoga offerings are wide-ranging with six types of Hatha-based classes including Power, Flow, and Restore. There are [Kardia] specific classes like Roll Out, a 60-minute class full of stretching using Yoga tune-up therapy balls, and your own body weight.

Indoor spinning classes are taught by founder Heather Gardner in a traditional style ride that accommodates 15 people. Your spin can be synced with an app that tracks stats like speed, distance, and RPMs."
